Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Machine Learning Engineer to join our dynamic team. As a Machine Learning Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and deploying cutting-edge machine learning models and algorithms to solve complex business problems. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to understand requirements, collect and preprocess data, build predictive models, and deploy them into production environments.

The position is based in Woodbridge, Ontario. Working location is hybrid.

Responsibilities

• Work with AI model development
• Adhere to our Kanban development process
• Drive small to medium sized work items, by direction of manager or another full-time engineer
• Attend internal meetings with our stakeholders and other teams.
• Being able to work in remote location, with the occasional on-site visit to our office in Woodbridge

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in computer science, Engineering, Data Science, Mathematics, or related field.
• Need to have at least three years of experience with machine learning and to be proficient in Python, scikit-learn, SciPy
• Experience with data manipulation using Pandas and Numpy
• Need to have experience with at least one of these machine learning libraries: PyTorch, Keras, TensorFlow

Preferred Qualifications

• Matlab, R
• Experience with Azure, Amazon or other cloud solution is a plus
• Computer graphics or Computer rendering
• GPGPU computing experience, Cuda programming
• Experience with computer vision, for example OpenCV
• Experience with instrumentation software
• Experience with Linux
• Agile mindset
• Great ability to research

• Self-driven
• Problem solver with an entrepreneurial spirit
• A genuine interest in computer science, mathematics, and statistics since quite often the job tasks involve finding solutions to proprietary problems where little or no research papers and other materials can be found
