Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Manager to lead our dynamic team AI & Data Science Team. In this role, you will be responsible for strategy development, team management, and project execution. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams throughout the organization to define requirements for new solutions, promote AI and Data Science within the organization and grow the existing global team into a world class group to handle all AI and Data Science challenges we are facing.

The position is based in Woodbridge, Ontario. Working location is hybrid.

Responsibilities

  • Manage, lead, and grow PerkinElmer’s global AI & Data Science team.
  • Work closely with other groups in R&D and the business at large to design and implement the best solutions for our customer.
  • Be integral in shaping PerkinElmer’s vision in the area of Artificial Intelligence and Data Science from idealization over basic research, through proof of concepts all the way to productizing, releasing and maintaining final solutions.
  • Be an advocate for AI and Data Science within PerkinElmer.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in computer science, Engineering, Data Science, Mathematics, or related field.
  • At least five years experience in the area of machine learning and data manipulation, plus at least 2 years experience in a management role
  • Track record of providing direction and leadership to teams in cross-functional, global environment
  • Must have experience managing teams delivering complex, enterprise level software solutions and services.
  • Working knowledge of Python, scikit-learn, SciPy as well as experience with Azure, AWS or other major cloud provider
