Purpose

  • An entry level role for a recent graduate in their early career who would like to expand their skills and grow their career as part of a team with a vast range of experience.
  • An Assoc. Electronics Design Engineer is sought to contribute to the design, development, testing, and troubleshooting of electronic systems and components. The ideal candidate will have a strong academic background in electrical engineering, hands-on experience with electronic circuitry, and a passion for innovation.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the design and development of electronic circuits, systems, and components.
  • Collaborate with senior engineers to create schematics, PCB layouts, and prototypes.
  • Investigate electronic failure and provide documentation during the product life.
  • Support the documentation and maintenance of engineering designs, specifications, and test procedures.
  • Perform product sustaining activities through collaboration with multiple engineering disciplines.
  • Testing and troubleshooting PCBAs using standard test equipment (e.g., oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, DVMs).
  • Participate in brainstorming sessions and contribute ideas for new product development.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, Electronic Engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience in using CAD software for schematic design and PCB layout (e.g., Altium Designer, Eagle, OrCAD).
  • Hands-on experience with electronic testing equipment such as oscilloscopes, multimeters, and function generators
  • Familiarity with microcontrollers, embedded systems, and programming languages (e.g., C, C++, Python) is a plus.
  • Experience with IPC standards and PCB manufacturing from electronic design perspective is a plus.
  • Strong understanding of electronic circuits, components, and principles.
  • Ability to use standard documentation tools to create/communicate design, specifications, and test results (e.g., Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio).
