Responsibilities
Location Waterford, IE Job ID REQ-054131We are seeking a dedicated Pharmaceutical Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing triage and frontline support for various types of pharmaceutical equipment. This role involves ensuring equipment functionality, troubleshooting technical issues, and coordinating with third-party vendors or Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) as needed.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform frontline triage of equipment issues, identifying problems and determining appropriate solutions.
- Troubleshoot and perform basic repairs on a wide range of pharmaceutical equipment.
- Escalate more complex issues by contacting third-party vendors or Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) for additional support.
- Maintain accurate logs and documentation of equipment issues, troubleshooting steps, and repairs performed.
- Work collaboratively with other departments to ensure minimal disruption in production due to equipment issues.
- Perform routine maintenance and calibration checks on equipment to ensure regulatory compliance and operational efficiency.
- Assist in maintaining inventory of spare parts and ordering replacements when necessary.
- Ensure all work is carried out in accordance with company quality standards and health and safety regulations.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training is preferred.
- 2+ years of experience working with equipment maintenance and troubleshooting, preferably in a pharmaceutical or manufacturing environment.
- Familiarity with a wide range of pharmaceutical or production equipment.
- Strong troubleshooting skills and a good understanding of mechanical, electrical, and control systems.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively interact with third-party vendors and OEMs.
- Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong attention to detail and adherence to quality and safety standards.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience in the pharmaceutical industry or regulated environments.
- Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and other industry regulations.
- Computer literate
