Responsibilities

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Design and development of firmware applications and drivers in Embedded Linux and/or Embedded Windows environment.
  • Design and development of new product architectures and deployment planning.
  • Strong involvement in product from inception through launch, interacting with early users, understanding customer needs, and driving solutions to meet or exceed expectations.
  • Development of project tasks, timelines and reporting regularly on progress.
  • Investigation of complex system problems and driving engineering solutions to improve products and processes.

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 5 years of related knowledge and experience with both applications and driver development.
  • Able to commute 5 days/week on site in Shelton, CT (Sorry, sponsorship is not budgeted for this role)
  • Expert with modern development tools (IDEs): Eclipse, Visual Studio, etc.
  • Experience with Embedded RTOS design especially Embedded Linux highly desirable.
  • Experience in C/C++ and other higher level languages
  • Experience with standard communication interfaces: USB, Ethernet, I2C, SPI, etc.
  • Understanding of VHDL or Verilog within FPGAs.
  • Experience with motion controls and/or vision systems a plus.
  • Demonstrated understanding of standard design practices including revision control, design for manufacturing, design for test, and design for reliability.
  • Demonstrated ability to coordinate projects and communicate across related disciplines.

The annual compensation range for this full-time position is $96,000 to $120,000. The final base pay offered to the successful candidate will be determined by factors including internal equity, work location, as well as individual qualifications, such as job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
