Purpose

As a Consumables Sales Supervisor, you will be responsible for leading and managing a team of up to 8 direct reports, overseeing their performance, driving sales initiatives, and ensuring exceptional service delivery to our clients. Your role will be pivotal in meeting and exceeding sales targets while maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction within this critical high-growth segment of the PerkinElmer portfolio.

Responsibilities

  • Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and motivate a team of inside sales representatives, providing guidance, coaching, and ongoing performance evaluations.

  • Performance Management: Drive KPIs and sales targets, focusing on delivering top-line gross margin and performance metrics for the team. Monitor individual and team performance, providing 'real-time' positive or constructive feedback, and implementing strategies to ensure goals are met or exceeded.

  • Client Relationship Management: Collaborate with the sales team to nurture client relationships, resolve escalated issues, and ensure a high level of client satisfaction. Act as a point of contact for key client accounts.

  • Reporting and Analysis: Generate and analyze sales reports, providing insights and recommendations for improvements. Utilize data to make informed decisions and drive sales strategies.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree with 3+ years of commercial sales experience
  • Minimum 1 year of supervisory experience
  • Excellent communication skills; written, verbal (including presenting)
  • Proven track record of sales success in achieving organizational sales targets
  • Prior experience managing to sales performance metrics

The annual compensation range for this full-time position is $75,000 to $85,000. The final base pay offered to the successful candidate will be determined by factors including internal equity, work location, as well as individual qualifications, such as job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
