Position Summary:

Responsibilities to support in driving sales revenue and growth for Material Characterization business. Duties include presenting PerkinElmer capabilities in the marketplace, providing an interface to the end user customer and representing PerkinElmer products and services.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Execute and achieved sales margin plan based on company’s annual sales operating plan. Responsible to grow sales volume and new business opportunity for Material Characterization product.
  • Responsible for sales activities - marketing, seminar, workshop, etc. to meet the sales goals and develop new prospects and penetrate competitive accounts.
  • Update accurate customer files and sales opportunities in Salesforce.com and participate in sales tenders.
  • Prepare and deliver presentations and seminars that speak to the customers’ business needs and applications by positioning our products as solutions to meet those needs.
  •  Visit customers to highlight and keep current on vertical market dynamics, application trends, and competitive information. Provide feedback to management on industry trends, and customer growth opportunities. Extend support to customers in testing their samples to meet the product requirements.
  • Facilitate solving customer problems on application issues through training, information and recommendation of solutions through knowledge of competitive offerings, as well as, pre-sales, post-sales, demos and executing against marketing initiatives.
  • Work closely with service team, regional sales team and functional business units to promote a high level of customer service.
  • Submit accurate and timely monthly sales forecasts and develop business through monthly plans of action

KEY CAPABILITIES REQUIRED

  • Candidate must possess at least a Degree / Master’s or PhD’s in Chemistry
  • At least 5-7 years of technical sales experience focusing on Spectroscopy, such FTIR, Thermal or UV
  • Persuasive and persistent - able to present technical sales information to customers and handle objections.
  • Good Presentation & Communication skill
  • Good interpersonal skills in both verbal and written English & Bahasa Malaysia
  • Have own transport and willing to travel domestic and overseas
  • Independent and able to work with minimum supervision.
  • Computer literate, knowledge in MS Office.
