Purpose

PerkinElmer is looking for high potential HR Specialist, Netherlands to be a member of the European HR Team, providing human resources support for the Netherlands and Belgium.  In this role you will support HR needs for ~80 PerkinElmer employees and collaborate with Business Leaders and HR team members to deliver the full scope HR activities in this geography.

This role requires a minimum of 30 hours per week but the hours are flexible and can be spread across 4 or 5 days. We are happy to consider candidates looking for a full time (40 hours) role also.

Responsibilities

  • Provide operational HR support to our employees and managers in the Netherlands and Belgium across the full employee lifecycle, ensuring a consistent interpretation and application of existing employment policies and practices.
  • First point of contact for employee and manager inquiries from the assigned client population, resolving such requests by phone and via the central HR Service email box.
  • Provide Tier 1 HR system support (MyWorkday, and other local HR tools
  • Administrative handling of all operational HR events (incl. hiring, internal transfers, promotions, contract changes and compensation adjustments as well as employee exit).
  • Creation of employment contracts, contract amendments and respective employment documentation.
  • Active maintenance of employee master data and movement data in MyWorkday and ADP iHCM as the HRIS and payroll system.
  • Set up and maintenance of physical and digital employee files in line with GDPR requirements; response to ad-hoc employee record requests.
  • Partner with existing team members to ensure accurate and timely processing of the monthly payroll input by managing the external payroll partner; review system generated test reports and request the correction of any potential errors; perform tasks to establish and maintain employee payroll and benefits records (salaries, variable schemes, employee shares, health and other insurance policies, pensions schemes etc.) in accordance with the legal regulations and company procedures.
  • Continuously update of employee SharePoint portal for the Netherlands & Belgium.
  • Active follow-up on the delivery against existing HR processes (e.g. Onboarding, training plans etc.) and set-up as well as regular update of our HR Process descriptions and SOPs.
  • Handling of general administrative activities, e.g. invoice control, regular update of HR register of processing activities etc.
  • Act as back-up for other HR Operations colleagues and their respective client groups.
  • Support continuous HR process improvements to increase effectiveness, efficiency and digitization; active identification of improvement areas and pro-active suggestion of potential adaptions.
  • Performance of regular HR data audits & provision of standard HR reporting to assigned manager client group as well as internal HR colleagues.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • 3+ years of progressive experience in Human Resources in the Netherlands and Belgium
  • Previous experience supporting both Belgian and Dutch payrolls

Preferred Characteristics

  • Strong employment law acumen
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain effective on-going relationships through all levels of the organization including executives, business partners, line operations and peers, as well as experience operating in a global matrix environment
  • High energy individual willing to get involved in all aspects of HR that can drive organizational change, talent development and bottom line growth
  • Advanced knowledge of Ms Office for work purposes
  • Knowledge of previous people management system
  • Fluent English & Dutch is an requirement. French is an advantage.
