Responsibilities

- Responsible for managing and implementing warehouse incoming and outgoing processes through SAP and other software systems
- Perform Post goods receipt / issue / cancellation into MRP system.
- Ensure stock and data integrity.
- Ensure export shipments are picked, packed and released promptly.
- Responsible for shipment system closing and generation of shipment reports.
- Coordinate with warehouse teams for export shipment preparation.
- Coordinate with carrier/ freight forwarder/3rd party service provider for material transfer, timely pick-up and delivery.
- Perform export booking and process documentation (packing lists, invoice and certificate of origin), as well as co-ordinate with various internal departments on shipping activities.
- Source & negotiate of freight forwarding service provider / alternate flight / freight rates.
- Report any non-compliant process activity.
- Lead a team of shipping assistants.
- Assist in the implementation of shipping improvement projects.
- Provide appropriate training to personnel to ensure that the team members can carry out their functions in a timely, accurate and efficient manner, software system included.
- Attend to shipment discrepancy (Verification, Investigation and claims as appropriate)
- Document filing and POD for factory terms.
- Perform other ad hoc duties as assigned.
Basic Qualifications
- Minimum Degree in Warehousing, Logistics or related discipline.
- Minimum 5 years of relevant hands-on experience with at least 2 years’ experience in managing a team in a dynamic and fast-paced MNC manufacturing environment.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and ERP systems, preferably SAP
- Knowledge in Dangerous Goods Regulations would be an advantage.
- Ability to prioritize and work proactively and independently.
- Self-motivated and able to manage multiple and complex tasks in a fast paced and challenging environment.
- Familiar with INCOTERMS
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Able to handle high volume of export shipments.
