Responsibilities

- Lead the maintenance and repair of manufacturing, laboratory, and building systems, ensuring minimal downtime and maximum operational efficiency.
- Develop and implement preventive and predictive maintenance programs to enhance the longevity and performance of equipment.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex mechanical, electrical, and control system issues, working with cross-functional teams as necessary.
- Collaborate with production, engineering, and quality teams to identify areas for maintenance process improvements and ensure equipment reliability.
- Manage the calibration and validation of critical systems and equipment to meet regulatory and operational requirements.
- Supervise and mentor maintenance technicians, providing technical guidance and hands-on support when needed.
- Maintain and update maintenance documentation, including maintenance schedules, SOPs, equipment logs, and work orders.
- Coordinate and oversee third-party contractors for specialized maintenance services, ensuring compliance with company policies and safety regulations.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards, environmental regulations, and industry best practices across all maintenance activities.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) for maintenance, including equipment uptime, repair frequency, and maintenance costs, and implement strategies for continuous improvement.
- Manage spare parts inventory and procurement to ensure timely availability of critical components while controlling costs.
- Support facility expansion, new equipment installation, and system upgrades by providing input on equipment design and maintenance requirements.
- Conduct root cause analysis (RCA) for equipment failures and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
- Stay updated on industry trends and new technologies that can enhance maintenance efficiency and equipment reliability.
- Knowledge in using AUTOCAD software is advantageous.
- Ability to respond to emergency outside office hours.
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering or a related technical field.
- Minimum of 3 to 6 years of experience in maintenance engineering, facilities management, or related roles in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong hands-on experience with mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and control systems used in manufacturing and laboratory settings.
- Proven track record of implementing and managing preventive and predictive maintenance programs.
- Expertise in troubleshooting complex machinery and equipment, including knowledge of diagnostic tools and techniques.
- Knowledge of regulatory requirements for maintenance in industries such as life sciences, medical devices, or pharmaceuticals (ISO).
- Excellent problem-solving skills, with a proactive and solution-oriented mindset.
- Strong project management skills, with the ability to lead maintenance projects, including equipment installations and upgrades.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work across departments and with external vendors.
- Strong commitment to safety and compliance, with the ability to enforce safe work practices and regulatory standards.
Preferred Characteristics
- Experience in the life sciences, medical devices, or diagnostic equipment manufacturing industries.
- Familiarity with cleanroom environments and maintenance of cleanroom equipment and HVAC systems.
- Expertise in energy management and sustainable maintenance practices.
- Experience with automation and robotics systems in manufacturing environments.
- Knowledge of Six Sigma or Lean Manufacturing methodologies for continuous improvement in maintenance practices.
