Job Summary:
As Process Excellence Coordinator within the Solutions Systems Group at Covaris, you will play a pivotal role in the internal development of processes and coordination of processes across teams. This position is primarily focused on operational efficiency, process optimization, documentation improvements, and reducing the load of case management to focus on higher-level, strategic tasks. The candidate will work across the Solutions team and across different departments within Covaris, such as Marketing, Product Management, and Quality. The candidate should be detail-oriented, proactive in identifying inefficiencies, and comfortable managing workload distribution while ensuring compliance with regulatory standards (e.g., ISO13485). Strong organizational skills and the ability to develop and implement SOPs are essential, as is the ability to mentor and guide the team toward continuous improvement. This position is ideal for someone who thrives in optimizing processes and driving operational efficiency within a team-focused environment. Another element of the role is to assist with customer inquiries related to Covaris AFA technology and instrument applications. This position reports to the Senior Manager, Application Support and Systems within the Solutions Team.
Essential Responsibilities:The employee may be required to perform all, or a combination of the following essential responsibilities as determined by business necessity.
- Manage Application Support Cases: Handle a portion of support cases, collaborating with the Senior Manager and ensuring cases are efficiently resolved.
- Develop and Implement SOPs: Lead the creation and implementation of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to standardize and streamline operations within the team.
- Enhance Documentation Practices: Continuously improve and refine documentation processes to meet regulatory standards like ISO13485 and support operational efficiency.
- Support Continuous Improvement: Identify inefficiencies and drive improvements across operational processes to enhance team productivity and performance.
- Collaborate with Quality Complaint Team: Support the resolution of quality complaints by contributing to case management and improving response time.
- Lead Operational Efficiency Initiatives: Drive initiatives focused on optimizing workflows, resource usage, and team effectiveness across the Solutions Team.
- Foster Compliance and Best Practices: Ensure the team adheres to compliance standards while implementing best practices to support consistent and efficient operations.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Operations Management, Life Sciences, or related fields; relevant experience may substitute for education.
- 2+ years of experience in customer-facing role or process improvement role within a scientific or technical environment.
Preferred:
- Strong knowledge of process improvement methodologies, such as Lean, Six Sigma, or similar.
- Familiarity with ISO13485 or other regulatory standards for documentation and compliance is highly preferred.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and manage multiple responsibilities.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to identify inefficiencies and implement effective solutions.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Salesforce or other CRM knowledge preferred.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to collaborate across teams.
