Bio-pharmaceutical Market Development Scientist

Primary responsibility includes development of analytical solutions for biologics characterization and CQA measurement that spans the use of automation, separation technologies (liquid chromatography, capillary electrophoresis), spectroscopy and informatics tools.
Individual will be expected to have a deeper understanding of the analytical techniques/separation sciences used in biologics development to design experiments that will allow the positioning of the instrumentation tools. The primary deliverable is to create differentiated and innovative solutions for the customers in the biopharma analytical laboratories. Knowledge and experience in handling biological modalities; deeper understanding of experimental design and analytical parameters; versatility in working across different instrumentation is required.
The scientist will work closely with customers to understand needs, pain points and translate into workflows that will bring to bear the integrated solution. Presentations at scientific conferences and forums to create market visibility for PKI solutions is expected. Creating commercial playbooks and channel competency collateral will be part of the role. The person will be flexible, work across divisions/teams and influence both internally and externally.
- Masters Degree in Analytical Chemistry.
- 6+ Years of experience in Biopharma end Market.
- Experience in developing HPLC based separation methods for biologic/gene therapy/vaccine modalities.
- Ph.D. in Analytical Chemistry.
- Small molecule-based method development experience is preferred.
- Travel as needed internally, to scientific meetings and customer sites is expected.
