The Global Service Delivery Leader is a member of the OneSource leadership team and is responsible for all OneSource service delivery. This individual will build and maintain strong customer/channel relationships directed toward growing PerkinElmer’s market share, revenue and profitability consistent with strategic business goals. This will be accomplished through leadership in coverage design and implementation, business development support, and effectively developing and deploying service talent and performance.
Business Development: Manage and enable global profitable business growth for your service area. Develop business plan that links to overall business plan. Identify key market/customer opportunities for growth and develop key metrics and action plans to grow deeper customer relationships in key accounts. Integrate product and service initiatives with resource deployment. Develop strategies, budgets and accurate forecasts to execute business plans and deliver on commitments. Effectively manage headcount and other budgeted expense/revenue plans to improve overall profitability.
Service Team Development: Build strong global leadership team and continue to upgrade and leverage talent by identifying critical skills and competencies necessary to provide best-in-class customer support. Develop or redeploy resources as needed to meet business commitments and reinforce PerkinElmer value proposition in the marketplace. Oversee all staffing decisions to ensure that we are hiring and deploying talent consistent with total customer value strategies. Strengthen team capabilities through ongoing infusion of resources with multi-vendor talent.
Succession Planning: Create a pipeline of talented and knowledgeable mid-level individuals, through your leadership, that are “Ready Now” to step into leadership roles within the organization. Utilize our goal-setting tools and processes to drive performance through ongoing discussions, results measurement, individual and team development and talent identification and deployment.
Represent field and customer: Represent the OneSource organization and customer’s views to the business units and global service support organization.
Teamwork: Promote teamwork within the service and sales organization to maximize opportunities for the growth of PerkinElmer DAS.
Drive continuous improvement, productivity gains and innovative solutions to shape and evolve the business opportunity. Translate financial metrics to optimize performance and drive profitability and improvement in specific areas of the enterprise sales and service execution teams.
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration (or related discipline) or equivalent combination of education and experience
·10+ years of related experience in field service and service management
- Leadership experience of larger organizations
- Demonstrated leadership, with track record of success in both building a business and building a strong, motivated team; creating vision and driving the organization to meet specific goals
- Demonstrated track record of career advancement within multiple business experiences
- A results-driven leader, who solicits input from others and transitions concepts into actionable plans to achieve business objectives
- Possesses excellent leadership and managerial skills emphasizing teamwork, staff development, cross-functional collaboration, and budgetary control
- Demonstrated team leadership and teamwork skills in a complex, fast-paced, changing environment to deliver value-added results to the organization
- Ability and willingness to travel as necessary, relative to geography of region
