Senior Dev Ops Engineer

Roles/Responsibilities-

  • Create process to perform continuous deployment, including full orchestration of deployment process
  • Develop tools and scripts to improve efficiency of operational tasks
  • Design, implement and maintain all AWS infrastructure and operational services for our team.
  • Create and provide best practices to the organization for DevOps, builds, CI/CD, and infrastructure; as well as integrating Security into the process
  • Manage Dev Ops activities on Salesforce cloud platform such as Salesforce Commerce Cloud for new websites or applications.
  • Automate tasks using various configuration management and scripting tools such as Ansible, Terraform, Python & Bash
  • Help set up dashboards using Kibana, Logstash and Elastic Search
  • Implement monitoring processes and design/deploy monitoring dashboards
  • Build and support system automation, deployment, and continuous integration tools
  • Thoroughly demonstrated working knowledge of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) methodology (processes, and deliverables)
  • Help to maintain and monitor current production, QA and Dev environments
  • Support the evaluation, selection, design, development and maintenance of the platforms
  • Mentor junior team members.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a subject such as Computer Science or other related discipline
  • 5+ years of experience working as a Dev Ops Engineer
  • Solid Experience working with AWS services such as EC2, Lambda, S3, Cloudfront, ECS, API Gateway etc
  • Experience or willingness to work on Salesforce Cloud platform such as Salesforce Commerce Cloud & APEX.
  • Solid understanding of Cloud Best Practices, Operations and Security
  • Experience in JavaScript frameworks such as Angular/React/VueJS and databases such as SQL Server/Mongo DB.
  • Skilled with Container Infrastructure, ECS, Kubernetes, Docker Swarm
  • Skilled with Continuous Integration and Deployment (CI/CD) Tools such as Jenkins, GIT
  • Strong analytical, conceptual and technical skills with ability to translate business needs into technical solutions
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills required
  • Must be able to communicate effectively across all levels of the organization
  • Creative problem-solving skills and ability to effectively communicate and translate feedback, needs and solutions
  • Must have strong teamwork orientation and the ability to foster collaboration within and across teams
  • Thorough understanding of and experience with structured software development methodologies including design, development and testing in an Agile environment
  • Participate in development of solutions in cases of new technology direction and/or proof of concepts
  • Excellent work ethic and strong sense of ownership of end result
