Service Ownership & Operational Excellence
- Own and ensure the stability, security, and high availability of SAP ECC technical landscape, including SAP BASIS, middleware, and infrastructure components hosted on AWS.
- Lead SAP technical operations such as system monitoring, performance tuning, patch management, and environment refreshes (DEV, QA, PROD).
- Maintain and publish the SAP maintenance window calendar in alignment with global business operations and change governance standards.
- Oversee Disaster Recovery (DR) planning and testing, system backup/restoration processes, and high-availability configurations across SAP instances.
- Manage sensitive access controls and ensure continuous compliance with IT general controls, segregation of duties, and SOX or audit requirements.
- Drive proactive monitoring and continuous service improvements for critical enterprise applications.
Cross IT Team Relationship Management
- Drive ownership of SAP integrations with third-party systems including SAP MDM, Salesforce, ServiceMax, and others through Boomi and other middleware platforms.
- Govern interface landscape for stability, including proactive error monitoring, restart/recovery, and long-term scalability.
- Lead platform lifecycle activities including SAP kernel upgrades, support package stacks, transport management, and solution manager oversight.
- Collaborate with infrastructure teams and AWS service providers to ensure optimized cloud operations, cost governance, and performance tuning
Vendor & Partner Management
- Define and enforce processes around user access provisioning, de-provisioning, and periodic access reviews within SAP systems.
- Govern sensitive access, firefighting IDs (e.g., via GRC or equivalent controls), and maintain audit readiness across all SAP environments.
- Coordinate internal and external audits, ensuring compliance to access policies, change control, and system hardening guidelines.
- Stay abreast of SAP technology roadmap (e.g., ECC to S/4 readiness, RISE offerings) and assess impact on long-term IT strategy.
