We are looking for an experienced Cloud Infrastructure Architect who will be involved in the development of a highly scalable cloud-based integrated platform for streamlined clinical analysis, interpretation and reporting of genomic variations.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Writing code to automate the infrastructure lifecycle, perform routine operational tasks, and create and support custom internal tools and CLIs
  • Working together with other Cloud Solutions Engineers or independently to develop prototypes and enhance or expand fundamental capabilities offered in the platform, such as CI/CD, infrastructure as code, and containerized or serverless workloads
  • Be a technical leader, providing deep software development knowledge with respect to cloud design patterns, architectures, and programming
  • Monitor and optimize project delivery processes and tools (Agile/Scrum, ticketing, sprint planning, CI/CD, etc.)
  • Ensure that all project work is reviewed and meets quality & accuracy requirements

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree (computer science or related preferred)
  • Working knowledge of commonly used AWS services, such as Lambda, IAM, VPC, S3, EC2, CloudWatch and CloudTrail, Guard Duty, Route 53, RDS, and SSM
  • Knowledge of Docker and hands-on experience in containerizing software applications; experience working with container orchestration and deployment platforms such as Kubernetes, AWS EKS or AWS ECS
  • Experience with implementing and managing CI/CD workflows using Jenkins, GitHub Actions, AWS CodeBuild, GoCD or similar tools

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience with AWS, Terraform and container orchestration platforms to build a scalable, highly available application solution that leverage AWS services
  • Consulting skills reflecting team building, flexibility, and customer service
  • Strong communication and presentation skills with consultative approach and highly adept at influencing without authority while providing advice/recommendations
  • A spirit of collaboration and transparent communication
  • High personal code/development standards (peer testing, unit testing, documentation, etc.)
