The successful candidate will combine their technical knowledge and business acumen to collaborate with a cross-functional team in Operations and Engineering and other stakeholders to deliver process improvements, digitizing wherever possible, and documenting as well as developing and conducting training plans.  This position will be expected to continuously seek to improve and drive PerkinElmer toward the achievement of higher levels of internal and external customer satisfaction and reduced operational costs.

Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

  • Act as a change agent while leading cross-functional programs to identify, recommend and implement improvements to existing processes across all cross-functional teams
  • Lead problem-solving efforts to improve quality and eliminate waste in all areas throughout site Operations
  • Work collaboratively to drive continuous improvement and cost savings through application of Lean Manufacturing techniques
  • Support business processes by interpreting data and developing and deploying new tools to continuously improve processes and ways of working
  • Drive the improvement of business process workflows, from order quoting to invoicing, by designing and maintaining a quality program, ensuring policies are identified and enforced and metrics are effectively in place and being monitored
  • Map existing processes and documenting in the quality system, maintain and update as necessary 
  • Train, educate and deploy new processes, procedures and reports
  • Developing appropriate key performance indicators (KPIs) and reports as needed to measure effectiveness and drive operational excellence
  • Identifying opportunities inside wing-to-wing processes to optimize cycles, eliminate unnecessary tasks, automate when possible and simplify manual tasks

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or STEM field
  • 8 or more years of work experience with:
    • Lean Manufacturing (6S, Value Stream Analysis, Kanban, TPM in addition to facilitating Kaizen events)
    • Order fulfillment process
    • SAP transactions and sales order experience

Preferred Qualifications:

  • History of working successfully with cross-functional teams to develop improvements to business processes
  • Green Belt or Black Belt certified is a plus
  • Familiarity with the development of, implementation of, and adherence to process policies/procedures
  • Ability to work collaboratively across multiple teams, business functions and levels within the organization
  • Strong influencing skills and presentation skills
  • Proven record of successful deployment of new processes, procedures and reports
  • Ability to understand and analyze data; familiarity with analytical software is a plus 
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook)
