PerkinElmer is hiring! We're looking to hire a talented Global Product Manager to join our team. You will be responsible for managing the Minor Accessories product line in the day to day activities to deliver on the current year business plan as well as the future strategy. Additionally, you will develop and execute the strategy for continuing deliver above market growth in the product line.
The R&D and Analytical teams are located at our site in Shelton, CT. If you leave near the area, great! However it's perfectly fine if you live elsewhere. This can be a remote/work-from-home position with extensive travel - both national and international.
Directs the development of company market requirements for specific product(s) or product line(s), including product strategy definition, requirements analysis, and pricing. Monitors the development of business plans, assesses market penetration, and product positioning to drive competitive advantage, revenue and market share. Reduces broad concepts and business strategies into structured product marketing plans. Oversees market research, monitors competitive activity, and identifies customer needs. Establishes pricing strategies and develops marketing tools for successful product introductions. Communicates customer feedback to engineering, manufacturing and sales to enhance existing product(s) or product line(s). Leads new product definition and business plans with joint departments. Selects, develops, and evaluates personnel to ensure the efficient operation of the function.
Basic Qualifications (Minimum Requirements):
- 5+ years of Global Product Management and/or marketing experience with technical, high value products
- 5+ years’ experience working with Analytical Instrumentation
- Bachelor’s Degree, in a scientific discipline
- Masters in a scientific discipline or or PhD preferred
- Analytical Instrumentation, chromatography strongly preferred
- Substantial expertise in scientific technologies
- Experience in analyzing the financial performance of a complex global business
- Effective leader and decision maker
- Ability to influence across a global, cross-functional organization.
- Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization and key external partners and customers.
- Experience with Microsoft Office, especially PowerPoint and Excel, including comfort in presenting technical and business content to large and small audiences
- Ability to travel internationally
