Responsibilities

- Provide timely, strategic, and practical legal guidance to business units on matters including corporate governance, regulatory compliance, and enterprise risk management.
- Monitor and analyze legal and regulatory developments impacting the company’s operations across Greater China, ensuring proactive adaptation and compliance.
- Advise on data protection and privacy matters, including cross-border data transfer requirements.
- Monitor developments in emerging regulatory fields, in particular artificial intelligence, and provide proactive guidance to the business.
- Coordinate with the company’s International Trade Compliance (ITC) team on export control, sanctions, and trade matters
Contract Review and Drafting
- Review, draft, and negotiate a broad spectrum of commercial agreements, including procurement, sales, partnership, confidentiality, and service agreements.
- Ensure all contracts align with corporate policies, legal standards, and applicable regulatory requirements.
Dispute Resolution
- Lead the management and resolution of litigation and non-litigation disputes, including arbitration and mediation proceedings.
- Collaborate closely with external counsel and internal stakeholders to formulate and execute effective dispute resolution strategies.
Compliance Governance & Investigations
- Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive compliance policies and procedures in accordance with local laws and international standards, in particular with a view to anti-corruption.
- Lead internal investigations into potential compliance violations, fraud, or misconduct; prepare detailed investigation reports and recommend corrective actions to mitigate risk.
- Conduct regular compliance risk assessments and deliver targeted training to employees on key compliance topics.
- Support third-party and indirect sales channel legal risk management
Requirements:
- A PRC legal qualification (法律职业资格) or an equivalent legal qualification is required.
- A minimum of 10 years of legal experience including team management experience is required, along with an MNC background.
- Candidates with a prior tenure at international law firms will be highly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of contract law, corporate law, dispute resolution, and regulatory compliance within Greater China.
- Proven experience in handling compliance governance, investigations, and risk management.
- Demonstrated experience with anti-corruption compliance, third-party and distributor channel risk management, and data privacy is strongly preferred.
- Exceptional communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills in both English and Mandarin. Full professional fluency in English is essential; the role requires the ability to operate entirely in English with the global Legal function and senior leadership.
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and deliver results under pressure.
- High ethical standards, strong analytical thinking, and a proactive, solutions-driven approach.
