Perten currently is seeking a Technical Sales Specialist Food with focus on NIR process analyser sales. Preferably the person will be home office based near Hamburg. The Technical Sales Specialist will be part of the German sales organization and will report to the North Europe Food Sales Team Leader. This is an excellent opportunity for a person with an entrepreneurial spirit to join a growing high-tech company with a focus on smart process analysis solutions.
The Technical Sales Specialist Food is responsible for achieving business objectives through sales development, channel management, and field marketing programs for the Perten Food portfolio - in particular to promote the NIR process solutions. Video
- Direct sales of Perten products, with full responsibility for the entire sales area Germany North (Post code 0, 1, partly 2 and 3) and for the sales revenues and AOP
- The product range covers Near-Infrared (NIR) analysers, whole grain and rheological system plus Infrared (IR) milk analysers for the agriculture and food market. We offer laboratory analysers and solutions for smart production control
- Development and expansion of the market for process NIR systems for digitalized and automated process control in agriculture and food markets
- Support of our existing customers and resellers in the region, qualification of new major and key customers with our smart process NIR solutions
- Develop sales, increase awareness through marketing activities and provide reliable sales support
- Develop and extent our present in different food market segments like dairy, snacks, coffee, confectionary, grain & oil seed processing, petfood, and more
- To represent Perten at trade shows and win new customers and OEMs
- Must be willing and able to travel throughout sales area
Job requirements
- Experienced sales engineer in the Agriculture and Food industry and related areas with analytical instrumentation knowledge
- Technical/scientific degree or equivalent in Food technology or Agriculturalsciences
- Experiences in sales of analytical systems and smart process control
- Demonstrated capabilities to assure good customer relations through communication skills
- Ability to work independently, willingness to learn and excellent time management skills
- Fluent in German and English
- Home office based
- Driver license is required
