Job Summary:
The Automation Support Analyst (Systems Coordinator) is responsible for providing end-to-end support of In-lab/Process Area Manufacturing (MFG) data systems and equipment required for GxP operations. Candidate must be an outgoing individual and who is experience in various lab environments.
Job Responsibilities:
- Build and maintain a working relationship with Lab System Owners, IT Teams, and Management.
- Update the Regulatory Asset Management systems inventory of lab equipment, PC’s, software, and any other information pertinent to the environment.
- Maintain daily assigned project related communications with team.
- Staying compliant by following Standard Operating Procedures, Job Aids, and Work Instructions.
- Function as technical SME.
- First Line User Support.
- User account setup/Password Resets in a controlled clean room or MFG environment.
- Non-change control break fix.
- Execution of Change Controls.
- Like-for-like replacements.
- Completing Preventative Maintenance Work within deadline. Biannual and Annual Reviews.
- Execution of Change Controls.
- On-Call Support one week per month.
- PER requests/ SOP Field Testing and SLC Review.
- Assist with Investigations.
- Professionalism, excellent listening skills, superior analytical skills, great verbal and written communication and documentation skills are a must.
- Ability to manage one’s time with minimal supervision to achieve objectives.
Critical Skills:
- Excellent customer service skills complimented by an ability to listen to and interpret client requests.
- Ability to troubleshoot complex technology issues.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to identify, track and complete tasks for multiple projects under prescribed timeframes.
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science
OR
- 2-3 years of relevant professional system support experience
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with scientific instrumentation in a controlled environment
- 2 years of experience in lab environment is a plus.
Other Requirements:
- Must be able to remains in a stationary position more than 25% of the time.
- Extensive walking within the campus buildings to various process areas.
- Some travel between sites within Rensselaer, East Greenbush locations (Shuttle available).
- The person in this position needs to occasionally move inside and outside of labs that require clean room training and gowning for classified areas such as ISO 7 and 8.
- Frequently operate on instruments, objects, tools, or controls, which will require regularly bending, squatting and stretching.
- Frequently operates a computer and other office machinery, copy machine, and computer printer.
- Specific vision abilities required by this position include without limitation, the ability to observe details at close range distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus in order to perform the essential service functions of this position.
The annual compensation range for this full-time position is $64,480.00 to $75,000.00. The final base pay offered to the successful candidate will be determined by factors including internal equity, work location, as well as individual qualifications, such as job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
