If you are seeking a meaningful, impactful, and stimulating career, look no further.The Quality, Environmental, Health, and Safety Specialist supports the OneSource Manager by ensuring that site operations are executed in compliance with all quality, safety, health, environmental, and regulatory requirements.
Ensure compliance with PerkinElmer and customer EHS training requirements
Implement all currentsite-basedEHS aspects of theOneSourceprogram
Implement new or updated internal safety and environmental policies as needed
Support safety and environmental site audit processes
Participate in the incident investigation process, including root cause analysis and identification of corrective action plans
Serve as contractor liaison for all company vendors associated with safety and environmental programs
Interact closely with vendors to facilitate completion of EHS plan (includingRisk Assessments orJob Hazard Analyses) prior to site entry
Perform periodic audits of vendors to determine adherence to all required EHS procedures and requirements
Interface with the customer (end users, building managers, facilities etc.) as needed to ensure vendors have the appropriate and necessary contacts and resources for work to be performed
Assist in inventory of site instrument safety devices as requested by customer
Generate Job Hazard Assessments (JHAs) as required for relocations and high-risk work
Generate required permits for any high-risk work being performed
Work with Security to check badge access status as needed
Issue daily passes to vendors who need access to the site
Escort vendors to their work location, if applicable
Assist in implementing new worker safety rules and regulations to site personnel and management
Attendcustomer-based Site Safety Committee Meeting anddisseminatepertinent information to field personnel
Review and approve OEM and/or other third party supplied qualification protocols prior to execution of the LIS Services in instances where Seagen informs the Service Provider that the customer groups do not review.
Ensure that standards are tracked, recalibrated, stored, and handled in accordance with prescribed methods to maintain the integrity of standards
Perform required investigations for failed standards when necessary to assess the impact on data and processes per customer approved procedures
Maintain accurate database and procedures for reverse traceability reports and impact investigations using customer approved systems
Provide out of tolerance notifications to customers within 24 hours of identifying the out of tolerance instrument
Carry out individual safety assessments at an agreed frequency, to ensure equipment is fully operational and safe towork with at all times
Agree, implement and enforce risk avoidance procedures with the customer (e.g.permit towork, riskassessment, method Statements etc.)
Design, implement and operate a quality assurance program that ensures that all lab instrument support services are conducted in accordance with customer /industrybest practices and at all times which meets regulatory requirements
Ensure a quality assurance system in place to manage and store all associated hard / soft copy servicing documentation in customer approved locations / repositories
Review and approve all service documentation so that execution is in accordance with Customer Policies and adheres to all relative processes including good documentation practices.
Agree limits ofdecision makingauthority (Safety or Quality) and escalate immediately when any potential non-conformance issues arise
Escalation procedure - Identify risks / concerns and escalate to appropriate risk registers and risk owners
Bachelor's degree in biology, chemistry, biomedical engineering, environmentalhealth/science/studies,industrial hygiene, occupational health and safety management, public health, or relevant field
A minimum of three years of experience in the implementation and management of EHS programs and management systems, preferably within research operations
Experience in a GLP/GMP environment
Understanding of Lab Safety Environment
Success working with subcontractors/vendors supporting mutual safety objectives
Proven track record of success executing high hazard prevention programs; specifically,LO/TO, electrical safety, machine guarding,etc
Experience managing regulatory compliance
