Responsibilities

Performs testing of clinical, research and quality control proficiency; evaluates instruments. Evaluates and analyzes clinical research data. Coordinates activities of associates and investigators to ensure compliance with protocol and overall clinical objectives. Manages storage of research samples.
Job Description Summary:
You will join a team of dedicated cell biologists to participate in the development and management of a best-in-class cell services program. You will have the opportunity to leverage and develop your skills in cell culture following industry best practices. You will liaise with scientists and support staff under the direction of the Technical Laboratory Services Leader to ensure that scientist projects are returned in a timely manner. Bring your experience working in a regulated environment to manage customer cell inventory. You will be a key partner for the Research and Development internal stakeholders.
Job Responsibilities
- Execute customer requests and projects related to cell culture
- Met with stakeholders to discuss requests, current project updates, and results
- Reviewing and verifying results to ensure accuracy
- Maintaining cell inventories in accordance with applicable regulations
- Supporting team members as needed on various R&D projects
- Ensuring compliance and accurate documentation in accordance with working instructions, SOPs, and applicable regulations

Critical Skills:
- Previous experience performing cell culture with human cells is required
- Experience performing single cell cloning, whole blood processing, and/or flow cytometry is strongly preferred
- High proficiency in MS Office software including Word, Excel, Teams, and Outlook
- Attention to detail and strong analytic skills
- Self-starter with excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Ability to independently manage multiple priorities and tasks
Basic Qualifications:
- Master of Science in cell biology or related discipline plus 1-2 years of related work experience OR a Bachelor of Science in cell biology or related discipline plus 3-4 years of related work experience
- 3+ years of post-Bachelor experience specifically in cell culture
Working Environment:
- Must be able to work in a laboratory, controlled environments requiring personal protective equipment (e.g., lab coat, safety glasses, etc.) in the laboratory.
- Job pace may be fast and job completion demands may be high.
- Must be able to remain in a stationary position more than 25% of the time
- The person needs to occasionally move between labs, corridors, adjoining rooms, and buildings onsite Frequently operate on instruments, objects, tools or controls, which will require regularly bending, squatting, stretching and reaching in order to perform in a service function.
- Occasionally move or lift up to 25 pounds (potential for occasional lifting of up to 50 pounds).
- Specific vision abilities required by this position include without limitation, the ability to observe details at close range distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus in order to perform the essential service functions of this position.
- Must be able to operate a computer and other office machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine, and computer printer.
- Employee may be required to handle hazardous waste according to local, state, and federal regulations. Duties may include identifying, handling, generating, accumulating, storing and labeling hazardous waste.
- Potential risk to lab-based hazards including but not limited to extreme temperature, biological materials, and hazardous chemicals.
- May be required to complete Medical Clearance, Respiratory Protection Training, and Fit Testing to wear a respirator as protection against hazards present in the laboratory environment.
The annual compensation range for this full-time position is $60,000 to $80,000. The final base pay offered to the successful candidate will be determined by factors including internal equity, work location, as well as individual qualifications, such as job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
