Responsibilities
Location New Haven, Connecticut US Job ID REQ-057406We are looking for an Asset Monitoring Coordinator to join our Lab Support team at a major pharmaceutical customer location. A successful candidate will oversee enterprise-level support and service activities for company products and services in support of lab-based work. They must be able to develop customer relationships and understanding of customer’s business and product installations to identify service needs, plan service delivery and drive use of proactive service and support mechanisms to reduce client downtime and support costs. Must work well independently and as a team member, proactively bringing concerns to managerial staff. Must have good judgment and be a self-starter and self-directed worker.
Technical Support:
·Daily upkeep and maintenance of sensors to identify and troubleshoot issues with asset monitoring system
·Deployment of remote monitoring and utilization sensors in collaboration with scientific community to ensure prompt installation and comprehensive application of relevant alerting parameters
·Managing the online asset monitoring platform to provide on-site support to end users and troubleshooting of any technical issues
·Regular auditing of sensors to ensure accurate data collection
Inventory Management:
·Managing inventory database and approving all additions, removals, and changes to equipment inventory and related data
·Monthly audits of inventory database to ensure accuracy and completeness
·Supporting and spearheading projects related to inventory database, including 2D mapping and quarterly RFID audits
Data-Driven Decision Making:
·Leveraging utilization and environmental monitoring data to inform decisions on capital expenditure, contract purchasing, and service strategies in conjunction with stakeholders
·Regular uploading and collection of data for tracking sensor deployment and troubleshooting
·Collaborating cross-site with other PerkinElmer teams to support the overall functioning and development of the Asset Genius program

Basic Qualifications:
·Bachelor's degree in Science or Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, or related field) or equivalent technical experience.
·2+ years of industry experience working in laboratory environments serving laboratory equipment is highly desirable. Familiarity with basic mechanical/electrical troubleshooting and associated tools.

·Must be able to work in a laboratory, controlled environments requiring personal protective equipment (e.g., lab coat, safety glasses, etc.) in laboratory.
·Job pace may be fast and job completion demands may be high.
·Employee may be required to handle hazardous waste according to local, state, and federal regulations. Duties may include identifying, handling, generating, accumulating, storing and labeling hazardous waste.
·Potential risk to lab-based hazards including but not limited to extreme temperature, biological materials, and hazardous chemicals.
·May be required to complete Medical Clearance, Respiratory Protection Training, and Fit Testing to wear a respirator as protection against hazards present in the laboratory environment.

- Must be able to remain in a stationary position more than 25% of the time
- The person needs to occasionally move between labs, corridors, adjoining rooms, and buildings onsite. Frequently operate on instruments, objects, tools or controls, which will require regularly bending, squatting, stretching and reaching in order to perform in a service function.
- Occasionally move or lift up to 25 pounds (potential for occasional lifting of up to 50 pounds).
- Specific vision abilities required by this position include without limitation, the ability to observe details at close range distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus in order to perform the essential service functions of this position.
- Occasionally operates a computer and other office machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine, and computer printer.
- Employee may be required to handle hazardous waste according to local, state, and federal regulations. Duties may include identifying, handling, generating, accumulating, storing and labeling hazardous waste.

The annual compensation range for this full-time position is $45,000 to $70,000. The final base pay offered to the successful candidate will be determined by factors including internal equity, work location, as well as individual qualifications, such as job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
