Status: Fulltime M-F 9:00 am - 5:30 pm (40 hours/week)
EUROIMMUN US is a MDSAP registered, ISO 13485:2016, 21 CFR 820 compliant Medical device company that manufactures, distributes, and performs service and installation activities of in vitro diagnostic test kits and instruments used in the detection of autoimmune status, allergies, infectious diseases and antigen detection.
The incumbent for the position will be a valuable addition to the logistics department to support the needs of the department. The incumbent will play an active role in daily shipping, receiving, and packaging activities of the medical device(s) and kit(s). Participate in various day-to-day activities within logistics and supply chain management including but not limited to inventory management, ordering planning / replenishing, packing, martial handling, warehousing etc. All work responsibilities to be performed carefully and accurately to meet the high quality standard of the company.
The SRL Associate will report to the Logistics Manager.
Essential responsibilities include but are not limited to,
Assist the Logistics Manager in processing all incoming shipments into the EUROIMMUN US, Inc. facility and delivery packages to the appropriate personnel.
Assist the Logistics Manager in handling the receipt of incoming products and verifies that the invoice attached correlates with the quantity of items received.
Assist the Logistics Manager with controls and documents the labeling that is placed onto newly received product
Assist the Logistics Manager in preparing and organizes all outgoing shipments for customer orders and trade shows
Assist the Logistics Manager with maintaining the organization of the refrigeration & warehouse storage areas
Determine storage areas for incoming shipments and allocate appropriate space within the warehouse
Look through work orders to determine order picking activities and pick orders according to the specific instructions provided
Ascertain the quality and quantity of picked items and ensure that they are safely delivered to the delivery pallet
Assist in loading and unloading trucks and determining safe ways of stacking items on the truck and retrieving items in a safe manner
Arrange for carrier vehicle or pickup
Maintain files of shipping records
Attach identifying information and delivery instructions on containers
Organize records of goods shipped
Minimum of high school diploma or equivalent education is preferred.
At least 3 years of experience in Logistics / Material Management for Senior Logistics Specialist
Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel and Powerpoint)
Strong knowledge of SAP Business one
Knowledge of import/export policy and tax regulations and gov requirments and clearance agency.
Konwlege about needed documents for clearing shipments from FDA, CDC, etc..
Strong knowledge in the management and function of warehousing / DC Management
Able to handle fluctuations in workload and activities as they evolve.
Good team player with a willingness to learn and take on new initiatives
Ability to multi-task and influence decision making processes and activities
