PerkinElmer is seeking a Product Manager who will be responsible for supporting an extensive line of in vitro diagnostic assays for autoimmune diseases. The Product Manager will support the sales force and customers, as well as improve the market awareness of EUROIMMUN product lines in an effort to increase sales and profitability of the organization. A variety of marketing functions are expected with the major focus on downstream marketing activities; however, upstream responsibilities will increase over time. Duties are not limited to those listed below and will be adjusted as appropriate.


  • Develop and expand one’s technical knowledge necessary for product support and customer interaction
  • Support sales force and customers with updated materials and communications on an ongoing basis
  • Inform the Sales organization routinely with product updates and develop product promotions and collateral materials
  • Develop marketing materials including brochures, trade advertising, training manuals, and show materials. Maintain an FDA compliant database
  • Establish market analysis to support the overall Marketing Plan: Market analysis including competitive landscape, PEST (Political, Environmental, Social and Technological), SWOT (Strengths Weaknesses, Opportunities and Threats)
  • Responsible for carrying out traditional Marketing deliverables, updating of website events, press releases for social media and printed ads, e- mailers, product positioning, promotional strategies, and review of support materials
  • Coordinate tradeshows and conventions
  • Identify and research new sales targets to provide to sales team
  • Maintain and update CRM system and create analytics reporting for sales leadership
  • Manage advertising and promotional plans in support of the product line strategy
  • Remain informed about the market, competition, and the environment.  Act as an information resource to all functional areas

Basic Qualifications:

  • MBA with 2 to 5 years of experience in Medical Diagnostics industry in a Product Management role, or
  • Bachelor’s Degree with 5 to 8 years of experience in Medical Diagnostics industry in Product Management role

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in customer-facing roles requiring deep product knowledge such as Field or Technical Applications.
  • Strong presence; capability to influence and promote enthusiasm via excellent communications skills.
  • Experience and demonstrated aptitude in both managing and prioritizing multiple projects and initiatives. Experience with infrastructure projects involving IT and Manufacturing is a strong plus.
  • Ability to work cross-functionally in a large and complex organization.
  • Experience with financial modeling and data analysis skills. Ability to forecast and track results.
  • Demonstrable blend of analytical and creative talent, tactical and strategic thinking, and innovative and pragmatic approaches 

As you gain knowledge and confidence with the products, you will be asked to visit key customers and lead scientific collaborations.  This position is based in our New Jersey corporate office with approximately 20% travel to outside meetings and conventions as needed.
