PerkinElmer is opening a recruitment process for a Scientific Equipment Coordinator role

Location: Molndal

Do you have experience in a research laboratory and a degree related to Life Sciences? Are you interested in laboratory instruments and compliance? Do you considered yourself an organized person with the capacity to handle different tasks and projects in parallel?

We are currently looking for a Scientific Equipment Coordinator to join our team in a large pharmaceutical company located in Mölndal. This role is responsible for the coordination and planning of installations and decommissions of laboratory assets, from simple equipment to complex systems, as well as for assistance to researchers in quality and compliance matters related to laboratory equipment. This role collaborates closely with a team of engineers responsible for the repair and maintenance of the instrument park, as well as with the laboratory managers and other service providers.

As part of PerkinElmer OneSource, you will be able to access training, support functions and networks. The position reports to the head of the corresponding technical department. The possition is for a full-time, permanent role.

Main Duties

  • Identifying and coordinating all the service providers needed for installation of assets, from simple benchtop equipment to complex systems that require modification or rebuilding of laboratories.

  • Planning, booking and managing visits of external suppliers, linked to the instrument park.

  • Support decommissioning of old instruments and related documentation according to existing procedures.

  • Ensuring that SHE and quality instructions are followed.

  • Assist researchers in the correct registration and labeling of the laboratory assets.

  • Be well acquainted with documents (SOPs, guides, instructions, etc.), especially related to GxP classified assets.

  • Coordinate the necessary actors for performing risk assessments linked to the laboratory equipment.

  • Proactively address risks to ensure that deviations from GxP rules can be avoided.

  • Be involved in improvement work linked to the position.

Essential for the role:

  • Degree-level education.

  • Experience in a laboratory environment (Life Sciences or similar sector).

  • Experience following SOPs, guidelines and instructions in a highly regulated environment, preferably GxP.

  • Excelent written and oral communication skills.

  • Strong collaborative and interpersonal skills

  • Strong ability to work independently

  • Service-oriented with a high customer focus.

  • Good computer skills, including use of calendars and planning tools.

  • Proficiency in English, good skills in Swedish desirable.

Desirable for the role:

  • Experience of working with business systems, such as SAP.

  • Experience with planning tools, Teams Planner or equivalent.

  • Technical/user level knowledge of common laboratory instruments.
