Location Mansfield, NottinghamshireGB Job ID REQ-056051PerkinElmer is looking for a high potential leader / Managing Director to manage and grow a ~$4m company, and support the customer journey end to end within their scope of responsibility. The MD has responsibility for day-to-day operations of the company and related services, ensuring that the team delivers high-quality, cost-effective solutions and services with a growing EBITDA. In this role, the MD would also need to make the company much more international, launch products and improve sales networks in Europe and in the USA. The MD must have a Business Development profile, meaning s/he should work closely with his sales teams and distributors to represent and grow the company.
Responsibilities
SOLUS Managing Director is responsible for the overall strategic direction and performance of the company, including fiscal, operational, regulatory, and human capital oversight.
- In addition to P&L accountability, S/he is responsible for developing and implementing business strategies consistent with PerkinElmer’s mission and values to create a culture of accountability, execution, profitable growth, compliance, and innovation.
- S/he will need to create a strong, cohesive leadership team to attain the organization’s immediate and long-term goals.
- Meet or Exceed Operating and Financial Objectives:
- Focus on maintaining the strong independence and entrepreneurial mindset of Solus.
- Create a vision, define direction, and build enthusiasm and commitment throughout the organization to achieve success.
- Recommend the development of new products or services based on current market trends.
- Interact with customers to build relationship and create awareness of new products or services offered by the company.
- Have a Business Development profile, meaning s/he should work closely with his sales teams and distributors to represent and grow the company
- Establish pricing structures for products or services based on their value to the customer.
Basic Qualifications
- A bachelor's degree in business administration, finance, economics, engineering, or a related field with specific knowledge in accounting, data analytics, operations and strategic planning.
- A minimum of 5 years of successful progressive company leader experience. A demonstrable record of significant career progression leading large teams in a fast-paced environment.
- Life Sciences experience
