Responsibilities
Location Kraków, PL Job ID REQ-055200As the Tax Accountant, EMEA you will be responsible for supporting the preparation of compliance and reporting for both direct and indirect taxes for the region. In addition, you will assist in providing jurisdictional and regional data as needed for various projects and workstreams. As a member of the shared service center in Krakow, Poland you will collaborate with other members of the accounting and finance functions with the goal of accurate and timely reporting and compliance filings for the region.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage all data streams related to EMEA tax reporting and compliance with a primary focus on VAT.
Work with the accounting team to ensure all data gaps are filled and accuracy of data is at a high level.
Support the Sr. Manager, Global Indirect Tax for timely and accurate filing of all EMEA VAT compliance and reporting.
Support the EMEA Regional Tax Manager through providing data for EMEA region corporate tax compliance and reporting.
Provide assistance as needed for other tax functions (e.g. transfer pricing).
Collaborate with U,S,-Based Tax Department
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent, in accounting, finance, taxation or another business field
3+ years’ experience working in corporate direct and indirect tax
Strong understanding of value added tax
Experience working in a shared service center environment
Proficient in SAP/Hyperion and Excel
Preferred Qualifications:
Advanced degree in taxation
Experience in working for a U.S. headquartered manufacturing company
