PerkinElmer is seeking a talented Senior Finance Analyst that specializes in Data Analytics. The role will play a key role in supporting the Corporate FP&A team in driving data-driven decision-making processes. The role will work closely with various stakeholders to gather, analyze, and present data insights that contribute to the finance priorities within PerkinElmer.
Responsibilities
Collect and analyze data from various sources to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities.
Leverage automation skills to streamline processes and enhance access to real time data.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into actionable insights.
Design, create and enhance dashboards to visualize key performance indicators (KPIs) and track progress against strategic goals.
Ensure data accuracy and reliability by implementing quality assurance measures.
Identify and address data discrepancies or inconsistencies.
Effectively communicate data-driven insights to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Collaborate with team members to ensure alignment of data analytics efforts with broader organizational objectives.
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor’s and/or master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, or related field.
4+ years of related business experience in Finance with a track record of graduated and scalable success
Proficiency in data visualization tools (Power BI preferred) and data analysis and manipulation tools (Alteryx (preferred), Python, R).
Fluent in English at least CEFR C1 level
Preferred Characteristics
Experience in understanding issues, analyzing data, deriving conclusions, developing practical solutions and supporting their implementation
Experience in accessing, querying, and manipulating data within ERP systems and enterprise applications, e.g., SAP, Hyperion (HFM/Essbase) and Business Objects
Experience working in a global team
Robust financial system knowledge: able to link proposed operational processes to financial accounting/system requirements.
Team player with a strong sense of personal responsibility and integrity.
Strong ability to navigate through ambiguity, show initiative, and confidently manage conflict and difficult conversations especially during times of change.
Strategic thinker. Strong bias for action while considering potential outcomes from multiple angles. Always driving towards simplification and transparency.
Demonstrated ability to assess priorities and manage/complete multiple complex activities in a time-sensitive environment.
Strong proficiency with financial systems and applications; Advanced skills in Excel, PowerPoint, and other MS Office applications
