This position will play a crucial role in PerkinElmer’s post-carve-out journey, helping the organization and its colleagues shift from transformation in 2023-24, to consolidation and growth. Internal communications, in turn, needs to shift from informing to strategically engaging colleagues by optimizing tools, processes, and channels to enhance employee experience (EX) and drive cultural alignment and support PerkinElmer’s growth journey. Reporting to the VP Corporate Communications & ESG, this role will be instrumental in shaping a cohesive approach to employee engagement, ensuring consistent messaging across regions and functions.
This role will be based in Krakow working on a hybrid basis - 3 days per week in the office.
Responsibilities:
Strategic Leadership in Employee Engagement:
Develop and implement a global employee engagement strategy that reflects PerkinElmer's transformation goals, integrates feedback from the upcoming Q1 2025 employee engagement survey, and identifies improvement opportunities for EX.
Internal Channel Optimization:
Revamp and modernize the internal communications platform and channel mix (including monthly newsletter and town halls), including rebuilding the company’s SharePoint environment and leveraging MS Teams to as an internal social media platform to foster collaboration and create a culture of dialogue.
Culture and Leadership Communication Enablement:
Collaborate with leadership teams to strengthen communication capabilities and cascade messaging effectively. Support initiatives that align with PerkinElmer’s evolving culture, ensuring messages resonate with a diverse global workforce.
Content Creation and Narrative Crafting:
Craft and deliver compelling, high-impact narratives that support the development and strengthening of PerkinElmer’s culture, values, and employer value proposition (EVP).
Performance Measurement and Insights:
Support HR with the implementation, analysis, and post-program development of an EE survey and establish simple metrics to evaluate the effectiveness of communication initiatives by leveraging data to optimize strategies and drive continuous improvement in employee engagement.
Cross-functional Collaboration:
Partner with the Value Creation Office, HR, and other global support services (GSS) to ensure alignment in messaging and consistency across all touchpoints. Advocate for the IT infrastructure enhancements required to support effective communication and engagement.
Innovation and Trend Monitoring:
Stay informed on industry trends, tools, and best practices in employee engagement and internal communication, driving innovation within PerkinElmer’s processes and tools.
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Communications, Business, Marketing, Journalism, or related field; Master’s preferred.
- 2-5 years of internal communications experience in globally operating organizations.
- Proven expertise in global employee engagement strategies and communication platforms like SharePoint and MS Teams.
- Strong writing, storytelling, and messaging skills for diverse audiences.
- Data-driven with experience in measuring and optimizing engagement initiatives.
- Skilled in cross-regional collaboration and driving alignment across functions.
- Knowledge of culture change management and transformation support.
- Experience in the development and deployment of large-scale internal communications projects.
- English fluency at a native level; additional languages a plus.
- Proficient in data analysis and HR metrics interpretation for communications effectiveness.
- Strong project management and problem-solving skills; self-starter in transformative environments.
- Proven ability to partner with cross-functional stakeholders.
- International travel on an ad hoc basis required.
