Requirements

  • Pursuing an undergraduate degree in mechanical, electrical, or related engineering discipline
  • Able to multi-task effectively and be fully committed to project timelines.
  • Strong organizational and interpersonal skills.  
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work in fast pace environment.
  • Ability to analyze and interpret data with moderate supervision.
  • Experience working in a regulated environment under a controlled design review process a plus
  • Familiarity with mechanical drawings; SolidWorks CAD a plus
  • Familiarity with automation / robotics a plus

Responsibilities:

  • Document & test electro-mechanical parts & assemblies
  • Document, test & run design verification activities.
  • Participate and at times lead in troubleshooting experiments and test setups.
  • Effectively and safely work in a regulated BSL-2 lab with blood products.
  • Research, develop, design, test and document improvements to PerkinElmer’s automation and microfluidic instruments from a system perspective, including software, firmware, electrical, and/or mechanical components.
  • Create and edit project documents within the IVD product development framework under supervision of a project manager.
  • Demonstrate potential for technical proficiency and ability to collaborate with others.
