PerkinElmer is seeking a Bioanalytical Technology Platform Leader who will be responsible for managing the Applied Genomics microfluidics business and implementing growth strategies in the bioanalytical market segment to drive expanded global market share through a focus on workflow solutions that leverage the core Applied Genomics product portfolio; including liquid handling, microfluidics and extraction technologies. 

Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Meets business and end market KPIs, such as revenue, margin expansion, market penetration and share gain
  • Leads development and prioritization of segment-specific workflows and supporting applications to feed strategic marketing activities designed to support continued business growth
  • Champions product line expansion to support growth in the bioanalytical market segment through internal product development and OEM.
  • Supports the development of strategic planning initiatives (M&A due diligence and other new growth initiative).
  • Develops business cases, user requirements and supports R&D through the product development process
  • Defines the application roadmap and supports the application development team in delivering on a pipeline of innovative technical documentation
  • Defines go-to-market strategies for new product introductions, directs creation of commercial enablement tools and supports the commercial function through trainings and KOL management

Basic Qualifications: 

  • PhD in analytical chemistry or related field.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Enthusiasm, drive, initiative, and a can-do attitude
  • Travel required will be 20% able to travel domestically & internationally, flexibility in last minute travel arrangements necessary
  • Product management, or business development, sales experience is desirable.
  • Strong relationship building abilities both with internal and external customers
  • Experience with
  • Ability to prioritize & manage multiple projects at the same time
  • Identify and present innovative and creative product solutions and/or ideas.
  • Strong written and verbal skills
  • Travel required will be 20% able to travel domestically & internationally, flexibility in last minute travel arrangements necessary
  • Experience developing and executing on the 3-5 year strategy for a global business
  • Strong communicator.  Strong written & verbal communication skills
  • Multi-site/global leadership experience
  • Strong cross-functional collaboration skills. Encourages the expression of diverse ideas and opinions, respecting individuals.  Navigates cultural differences well and can drive solutions across the enterprise
  • Structured thinker, strong analytical and planning skills
  • Displays a high degree of emotional intelligence, leads through influence, displays humility
  • Puts mission and team before self
