Purpose
This role is responsible for creating the Material Characterization portfolio marketing strategy, new product introduction (NPI) marketing strategy and downstream activities such as content creation, and marketing deliverables execution across all marketing channels, including the website.
Responsibilities
Portfolio Roadmap:
Help to evolve Material Characterization Portfolio offerings by aligning business solutions with customer insights research and end market and target customer needs, by developing effective messaging and building the content architecture in conjunction with market segment needs.
Product Line Collaboration:
Work in collaboration with product management/business units to support the evolution of launching and selling products value selling and customer workflow approach into the applied markets of environmental, industrial, academic, and government.
Marketing and Commercial Team Collaboration:
Work across Segment Marketing, Field Marketing, and Commercial teams to produce and implement effective strategies to drive growth for the Material Characterization Portfolio. Own and implement digital and web marketing content and campaigns.
Work with Product Management and Customer Facing teams to understand customer pain points and build the appropriate product marketing strategies with value propositions to address them and drive growth. Utilization of competition landscape information from this team and others will be key in the value created by the efforts.
Customer Insights:
Conduct market research to understand customer pain points, needs, and preferences related to the products
Collect and analyze data from customer feedback, surveys, and market trends.
Translate insights into actionable marketing products and strategies.
Demand Generation:
Influence and support lead & demand generation, while impacting product visibility to prospects and reputation with customers.
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (marketing, chemistry, biochemistry, or related discipline).
- 5 years experience in marketing, preferably in analytical instrumentation or scientific equipment.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and collaboration skills.
- Ability to balance technical expertise with business acumen.
Preferred Characteristics
- Strong track record in marketing in a scientific company.
- Technical experience preferred but not required.
