This strategic leadership role is focused on driving excellence in service delivery, ensuring customer satisfaction, and aligning field service activities with the company’s overall goals. The ideal candidate will provide direction and oversight to a team of field service leaders and support groups, while also working cross-functionally to maintain and enhance service quality standards. This role is critical to enhancing PerkinElmer’s reputation as a leader in delivering high-quality, reliable solutions to our customers across all segments.
Location: US Field Remote - role will involve significant travel to US customer sites.
Job Responsibilities:
- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of field service leaders to meet performance objectives.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement, high performance, and customer-centricity within the field service team.
- Oversee recruitment, training, and professional development to ensure technical and customer service excellence.
- Implement Daily Management and Problem Solving fundamentals a spart of LEAN conversion efforts
- Ensure the efficient and effective delivery of field services, including installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs for PerkinElmer's products.
- Drive strategies to improve response times, quality of service, and overall customer satisfaction.
- Address complex customer issues in a timely manner, ensuring the highest standards of service delivery.
- Manage the field service budget, ensuring the efficient allocation of resources.
- Implement and optimize field service processes and workflows to enhance productivity and reduce operational costs.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product management, sales, and support, to ensure seamless execution of service contracts and maintenance programs.
- Drive top line revenue growth through execution, lead generation, and commercial collaboration
- Develop and execute strategies to drive the growth and performance of the field service function in alignment with company objectives.
- Analyze field service performance data and provide regular reports to senior management, offering actionable insights to improve service delivery.
- Continuously evaluate emerging trends and technologies to enhance service offerings and stay competitive in the market.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant industry regulations, safety standards, and company policies.
- Maintain high standards of quality control for all service activities to ensure consistency and reliability.
- Maintain training and compliance in areas of health and safety, security, environmental and operational aspects of daily activities in the working environment

Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field (Master’s degree is a plus).
- At least 7+ years of experience in field service management, with a proven track record of successfully leading a team of field service engineers or technicians.
- Ability to travel as needed to meet customer demands and oversee field operations.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Strong understanding of service delivery in a technical environment, preferably within the healthcare, life sciences, or related industries.
- Strong knowledge of service management software and tools.

Work Environment:
- Must be able to work in a laboratory, controlled environments requiring personal protective equipment (e.g., lab coat, safety glasses, etc.) in laboratory.
- Job pace may be fast and job completion demands may be high.
- Must be able to remain in a stationary position more than 25% of the time
- The person needs to occasionally move between labs, corridors, adjoining rooms, and buildings onsite Frequently operate on instruments, objects, tools or controls, which will require regularly bending, squatting, stretching and reaching in order to perform in a service function.
- Occasionally move or lift up to 25 pounds (potential for occasional lifting of up to 50 pounds).
- Specific vision abilities required by this position include without limitation, the ability to observe details at close range distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus in order to perform the essential service functions of this position.
- Occasionally operates a computer and other office machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine, and computer printer.
- Employee may be required to handle hazardous waste according to local, state, and federal regulations. Duties may include identifying, handling, generating, accumulating, storing and labeling hazardous waste.
- Potential risk to lab-based hazards including but not limited to extreme temperature, biological materials, and hazardous chemicals.
- May be required to complete Medical Clearance, Respiratory Protection Training, and Fit Testing to wear a respirator as protection against hazards present in the laboratory environment.
The annual compensation range for this full-time position is $112,840.00 to $145,000.00. The final base pay offered to the successful candidate will be determined by factors including internal equity, work location, as well as individual qualifications, such as job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
