Technical Support Engineer (m/f/d)
With a complete portfolio for high-throughput multimode plate detection, high-content analysis and liquid handling, PerkinElmer is uniquely positioned to understand scientific and application-specific needs.
The primary responsibility of this position is to provide technical support to our High-Content Screening Systems.
Provide 3rd level Technical Support and problem resolution. Provide technical support to field service and inside service representatives as requested or required. Accelerate conclusion of non-routine field service problems.
Maintain and Create Technical Documentation. Play an active role in the development, maintenance and implementation of technical documentation and in-house technical knowledgebase systems to improve the efficiency of less-senior specialists and field service resources.
Support New Product Introduction. Support new product development efforts by providing critical input and evaluation of design-for-service, creating service documentation, defining service parts, developing installation protocols, training field service specialists.
Develop and Deliver Technical Training. Develop and deliver training through blended learning platforms including virtual and online classes for service engineers, inside service in the use of assigned product line/technology.
A qualified engineer with a broad understanding of various engineering disciplines(Mechanical, Electronic, Electrical, Pneumatics / Fluidics) or aligned experience
Professional experience in field service or customer support of complex electromechanical systems is beneficial but not necessary
Self-driven with an ability to work in a highly dynamic and complex business
Good communication skills in German and English, verbal and written and able to communicate across different levels internally and at customer sites
Strong interpersonal skills for preparing and providing technical trainings
Flexible with regards to working hours to facilitate occasional global calls
