Job Overview:

Technical implementation of software projects in accordance with the requirements of the Life Sciences division.

Responsibilities:

  • Device software design, implementation, documentation, and maintenance in the field of life science research as well as for the analysis and storage of measurement data, including:
    • Graphical user interfaces and user experience
    • Data analysis including statistical evaluation
    • Data management using relational databases
  • Control flow and real-time control for automated sample preparation with subsequent measurements and analyzes
  • Implementation of algorithms, data structures, communication modules and system program elements
  • Implementation of storage and data processing software in distributed systems
  • Verification of the software including testing, troubleshooting and documentation
  • Observation and application of new technological developments and implementation methods in software development
  • Guidance of employees in the project environment
  • Willingness to learn new technologies

Qualifications:

  • Completed engineering degree in the field of computer science, physics or a comparable course of study or training with several years of professional experience
  • Good knowledge of developing desktop applications for the Microsoft Windows operating system
  • Good programming skills in an object-oriented programming language, e.g. C # or Python
  • Good knowledge of the technologies and frameworks used, e.g. WPF and / or EF
  • Good knowledge of the development environment used, such as Microsoft Visual Studio
  • Knowledge and experience in the development of multithreaded software, inter process communication and client-server architecture
  • Experience with ASP.NET or a comparable framework
  • Experience in the development and programming of graphical user interfaces in relation to user experience
  • Experience in the application and improvement of agile development methods
  • Ability to structure work content and define work packages
  • Good written and spoken German and English
  • Teamwork, organizational and good communication skills as well as an open-mindedness towards new tasks are required

Nice to have: Experience in the life sciences / pharmaceutical industry
