Directs and oversees the Program Management Office (PMO) responsible for Life Science product development, to ensure all development programs meet organizational goals and requirements. Partnering with the VP/GM of Life Sciences and cross functional leaders, the PMO Segment Leader is responsible for defining, prioritizing, and executing new product development programs.


  • Leadership: Leads the Life Sciences PMO team by promoting realistic schedules while achieving timely and successful outcomes in terms of schedule, scope and budget.
  • Culture: Establishes a “Culture of Accountability”, while promoting sense of urgency and teamwork.
  • Process: Responsible for working with the global PMO and other functions to maintain and evolve our development process while optimizing efficiency to produce quality products that comply to applicable regulatory standards.
  • Strategy: Organizes and contributes to monthly project reviews and gate reviews for effective project monitoring, control and corrective action. Guides reporting and presentations by project teams for rapid, objective decision making.
  • Communication: The segment leader and PMO team must maintain outstanding collaboration with all stakeholders and functions that participate in the project life cycle for new products. Project progress & deliverables must be expertly communicated to senior leaders, team members and other functions with clarity and transparency.

Education, Certification, and Experience:

  • Master’s degree in Life Sciences / Engineering or equivalent industry experience; with 5+ years’ experience in Program/Project Management.
  • Experience in the development of instruments, software, and reagents for life sciences, analytical research or medical diagnostics.
  • Clear understanding of design controls and regulatory compliance from a product development perspective
  • 5+ years of experience as a Servant Leader who will empower and grow all team members, while providing guidance without micromanaging.
  • Exceptional communication skills, to express vision & strategy; to share project updates, an active listener who will build a collaborative and successful team.
  • Positive personality, with strong bias for action and results. Comfortable with ambiguity, decisive and authoritative.
