PerkinElmer is looking for Application Scientist for Perten (Food) part of the Business
Location: Hägersten, Stockholm,
We are now looking for an expert in chemometrics for analytical equipment used for the food industry. The focus will be on instrument based on NIR (Near InfraRed) and MIR (Mid InfraRed) technology but to some extent you will also be involved in work and projects based on other technologies.
You will work with modification and development of multivariate models for the applications as well as being an important part in the development of new solution. You will be part of the R&D team but work closely with the application specialist and build relations internally and externally.
This exact content of this role will vary depending on active development projects, sales projects as well as your level of expertise. Some travel and overnight stays are expected.
The role is located in Hägersten, Stockholm, with limited number of travel days.
Expert knowledge within chemometrics
Ph.D. or MSc/B.Sc. in a relevant field (e.g. chemometrics, chemical engineering, biotechnology, food technology, computer science or similar)
At least five years’ work experience in a relevant job
Computer and programming skills, preferably fluent in Python
Full professional proficiency in English
The ideal candidate will have
Experience in advanced analytical equipment: NIR, IR, Rheology
Experience of working internationally
Good knowledge in Swedish and/or a third language
Experience in software for chemometrical calculations
