For our Project & Process Improvement Team in Groningen we are looking for an experienced Project Lead / Project Manager to develop new plastic laboratory consumables. What will your days look like: you draw up project plans, functionally lead project teams, you contact and visit external project members and manage these relations. You are the spider in the web for the product-development activities of various project team(s). You are energized by completion of projects together with your team in accordance with agreed time, quality and budget. In addition, you manage all stakeholders’ expectations and ensure alignment in case of any deviations.

Education and experience

  • You have at least an HBO degree in the field of mechanical engineering, industrial design or similar (IDE, IPO, WTB);

  • Knowledge of product development processes (e.g. 'Design for SixSigma')

  • At least 5 years of experience as a project lead / project manager

  • You have affinity with laboratory consumables for Life Science Research

  • Knowledge of injection moulding and/or injection mold-making is an advantage

  • You have excellent command of the Dutch and English language and have the right communication skills

Tasks and responsibilities

  • Managing multiple multidisciplinary projects in the field of product development for plastic consumables. You are not necessarily technically active yourself, but you do understand the content

  • Managing the relationship and expectations of all stakeholders involved

  • Leading project teams aimed to develop high precision plastic consumables for PerkinElmer instruments. The projects may contain many technical uncertainties and interfaces

  • Financial insight and overview of project costs, planning & control

  • Working with our Purchasing department to find suitable external suppliers

Number of hours / days per week?

We are looking for a colleague (M/F) for at fulltime position preferably located in The Netherlands.
