The incumbent is responsible to lead technical support, system reliability & consistency and continuous improvement of the Manufacturing IT Systems (PC & Server, Networks, etc) for PerkinElmer Johor Manufacturing facility. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work effectively in a dynamic environment.
Responsibilities
- Lead, plan and direct technical support of Manufacturing IT Systems (ie: ERP, SCADA, HMI, MES)
- Executes the appropriate change control documentation to assure the Manufacturing IT Systems and/or are in a state of control and compliance
- Gathering requirements, creating technical specification, and the design and development of complex Manufacturing IT Systems projects
- Contribute to hardware and software architecture design, development of software applications, and integration into enterprise systems when required
- Plan, coordinate, and execute system upgrades, enhancements, and patch applications across all supported platforms.
- Develop and implement system support process and documentation.
- Executes enterprise-scale Manufacturing IT Systems hardware & software introduction and subsequent roll-out to future production lines.
- Assist in the preparation and implementation of the long-term Manufacturing IT Systems support strategy.
- Develop, validate and/or execute software test plans for Manufacturing IT Systems.
- Maintain multiple IT Database server or software environments i.e. Development, Production.
- Managing and working with sister’s site and third-party software development teams.
- Manage all manufacturing software licensing and subscriptions.
- Manage plant wide BOM drawings (CAD), updates and drawing change request & controls.
- Develop and setup software’s dashboard for production performance monitoring.
- Maintain IT backup, recovery and security management for PC/Server based manufacturing systems
- Developed and maintain plant maintenance system (ie: Maximo) for incidents tickets management, preventive maintenance checklist and scheduling program.
- Manage IT hardware inventories for manufacturing system (ie: printers, switches, laptops, etc)
- Adherence to PerkinElmer values & standards, observe and ensure full compliance with PerkinElmer Code of Business Conducts.
- To observe and ensure full compliance with PerkinElmer EHS Standards.
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience) with at least 5 years relevant experience.
- Advantageous to have implemented a Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) solution, as well as having a strong understanding of MES and with experience in integrating these systems with ERP and/or control equipment.
