  • Present and sell PerkinElmer’s Analytical portfolio comprising of Inorganic, Material Characterization, and Chromatography products within Applied Markets in the US.

  • Work with the field sales team on selling aftermarket products – consumables, software, accessories and upgrades to new and existing customers.

  • Work closely with a team of Applications Scientists on customer quotes as well as product demonstrations and presentations; both virtual and on site in our Downers Grove Center of Excellence. 

  • Liaison with Sales leadership for forecasting of sales and orders; meet or exceed sales targets for assigned territory and product line/s. Utilize consultative sales approach and execute on field marketing-based initiatives for new and existing customers.

  • Grow product expertise in order to provide customers with the best solution, based upon their application requirements.

    SFDC / CRM compliance, outbound calls, lead conversions, opportunity creation, stage progression and management, etc. We can provide relocation assistance to Chicago area for the right candidate; this is an office-based position at our Downers Grove, IL Center of Excellence.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Requires a bachelor’s degree in science or engineering or relevant related experience

  • 1 - 3 years of sales experience

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Must be results-driven and possess the ability to utilize exceptional negotiation skills.

  • Prior experience selling capital equipment is a plus.

  • Technically learn and understand product portfolio and engage in technical conversation with customers.

  • Willingness and proficiency to prospect for leads through cold calling, social-media, and email-driven campaign assignments.

  • Ability to work within a Team Selling Model and engage field-based resources as necessary to advance opportunities.

  • General knowledge of CRM systems is preferred. experience is a plus.

  • Ability to work effectively in a matrix organization, with field sales, marketing, and service members while influencing decisions.

  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to build relationships via the telephone and email.

  • Highly effective time management and organizational skills.

  • Process orientated, with a strong knowledge of selling, marketing & the customer care process.
