Logistics Operations Lead

Responsibilities
Location Denver, ColoradoUS Job ID REQ-055901Oversees the planning and controls the flow of materials, products, services and related systems information from point of origin to point of delivery. Areas of responsibility include but are not limited to supply chain services, inventory control, or critical parts availability, material handling, import-export licensing, third-party warehousing and shipping/receiving activities. Develops and implements logistics plans, budgets, and procedures to maximize compliance with customer needs within budget constraints. Provides financial reporting and reconciliation of inventories. Exhibits thorough understanding of international Letters of Credit and other forms of banking documents and international shipments. Interacts with vendors and peers in Manufacturing, Sales, Finance, and Product Development personnel to optimize systems and procedures. Selects, develops, and evaluates personnel to ensure the efficient operation of the function.
Strategic Planning and Execution:
- Optimize distribution networks, transportation routes, and warehouse operations to minimize costs and improve efficiency.
- Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to drive continuous improvement.
- Support and act as Americas Logistics Manager back-up.
Operations Management:
- Oversee end-to-end logistics operations, including inbound, outbound, and reverse logistics.
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements, safety standards, and company policies.
- Manage third-party logistics (3PL) providers and negotiate contracts to meet service level agreements (SLAs).
- Proactively address and resolve operational disruptions, delays, or challenges effectively.
- Handle freight exceptions management, including delays, carriers mistakes, and cancellation.
- Execute ocean freight booking, including quotation, lead time management.
- Investigate and resolve complaints linked to logistics and claims.
Financial and Budgetary Management:
- Prepare, manage, and track cost analysis and cost savings initiatives.
Stakeholder Collaboration:
- Collaborate with internal teams, including procurement, inventory management, customer service, and sales, to ensure seamless operations.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with external partners, including carriers, customs brokers, and suppliers.
- Act as the primary logistics contact for regional stakeholders, ensuring alignment on goals and initiatives.
