Responsibilities

- Determines & achieves Annual operating (AOP) and gross-profit plans by implementing marketing strategies, analyzing trends and results.
- Ensure that the conditions of the laboratory are appropriate for the testing performed and provide a safe environment in which employees are protected from physical, chemical, and biological hazards
- Ensure that test methodologies are appropriately selected and validated / verified for clinical use
- Managing a diverse business in multiple market verticals across multiple product lines & drives solution/value selling approach.
- Visits customers regularly to promote strategic relationships, identify new business opportunities, develop and maintain key account strategies for high profile customers and maintain good relationship with customers.
- Partner with global headquarter teams to drive new programs & day to day operational needs.
- Develops strategies and long-term plans with reference to large, high impact area, or multiple smaller programs, services, products, costs, or revenue generation.
- Oversees implementation of new products, projects, programs to achieve strategic objectives.
- Establishes sales objectives by forecasting and developing annual sales quotas for regions and territories, projecting expected sales volume and profit for existing and new products
- Develops policies & procedures for better Lab Operations.
- Ensure compliance related to customs, laws, regulations, business practices legal/regulatory areas with help of finance, legal, HR and facilities leaders.
- Drives Performance Management
- Constantly upgrades talent by identifying critical skills and competencies necessary to provide best-in-class Sales & Lab performance.
- Employ enough laboratory personnel with the appropriate education/experience to perform tests, and report test results.
In addition:
- Ensure that the laboratory meets or exceeds local regulatory requirements.
- Maintain good communication with leadership, team members and customers.
- Ensure safety, security, and the environment in all aspect of the daily activities, and any potential safety hazards are addressed and corrected immediately.
- Other duties as assigned..
- Travel up to 50%
Required Qualifications:
- MD with overall 15+ years of clinical experience in molecular genetics/ molecular pathology, virology or related field with Business acumen
- Must be detail oriented, organized, with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Experience with LIMS and laboratory automation highly desired.
- Able to work effectively and able to deliver on tight datelines.
