PerkinElmer is seeking a motivated Events and Field Marketing Specialist to support the global Food Solutions organization in our Americas and European markets.The Events and Field Marketing Specialist role will partner closely with regional commercial and marketing stakeholders to organize, plan and execute on events within the assigned regions, with responsibilities including (but not limited to) developing annual event plans and budgets, liaising with vendors to manage event logistics, pre-event marketing campaigns, and management of lead generation and nurturing campaigns following events.

Perten, a part of PerkinElmer’s Food Solutions business, has a rich 60-year legacy of providing leading testing instrumentation to the food industry, including near-infrared, process NIR, and rheology solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Work with commercial team stakeholders to develop an annual plan/schedule for events, including tradeshows, conferences, and internal/partner meetings, and assign relevant KPIs and ROI targets for each event.
  • Develop strategic and tactical plan for each event, identifying and scheduling key promotional activities to maximize ROI and visibility associated with each event. 
  • Research event details and logistics, working with vendors to book participation and secure all required services.
  • Serve as primary point of contact for each event, organizing internal planning activities and supporting commercial teams with event logistics.
  • Develop campaigns in SFDC for each event, and facilitate lead upload into SFDC.
  • Partner with commercial team members to develop campaigns in support of events, including email blasts, social media posts and landing pages.
  • Track KPIs, ROI and spending on events utilizing tools such as SFDC and Allocadia.
  • Attend key events in assigned regions, as needed, to provide on-site support and achieve the goals of the event (estimated 2-3 events per year).
  • Develop content following established brand standards and processes for use at events or in regional initiatives.
  • Other duties as needed and assigned, including administrative and tactical marketing projects.

Basic Qualifications

  • Associate’s degree in business, communication, marketing, or the sciences (must have communications experience if degree in the sciences).
  • Minimum 1 year experience in marketing or communications.
  • Ability to translate stakeholder needs into action plans.
  • A can-do attitude and ability to multi-task.
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft suite (PowerPoint, Word, Outlook, Excel).
  • Basic knowledge of SFDC and social media platforms (primarily LinkedIn, Facebook and X/Twitter).
  • Strong project management skills and an adaptive and flexible attitude.  To be successful, the candidate will need to flex with the needs of the business while ensuring that project objectives are completed along planned timelines.
  • Strong team player, able to work across boundaries. 
  • Work under pressure and balance multiple priorities.  
  • English fluency (minimum B2/upper intermediate fluency expected).
