Summary
In this role you are responsible to uphold a professional relationship with the client as well as for the coordination of the maintenance and validation of analytical laboratory instruments and their accessories at one specific customer site in Braine-l’Alleud.
This role would be suitable for a lab technician interested in starting a career in Service Engineering.
Key Responsibilities
Maintaining professional contacts with the client, relieving the client of any concern during all phases of the job with the goal of maintaining customer satisfaction in the areas of service and support.
Communicating with the customer (with/via the onsite helpdesk or OSCC) about activities and providing information about schedules of planned and unplanned maintenance
Registration of sales leads
Communicating with the customer (via specific reporting) about the instrument status in order to achieve superior customer satisfaction.
Monitoring execution of repairs, maintenance and validation of laboratory instruments and their accessories.
Ensuring all tools and test equipment are calibrated and valid to perform service required
Ensuring correct delivery of maintenance and repairs are performed within the set timeframe, response time, first time fix or other SLA’s agreed with customer
Keep serviced instruments, software and peripherals information up-to-date
Participating in external and internal training courses for technical skills, personal development and organizational development
Maintaining the highest standards of health and safety, and environment on site.
Requirements
Experience or equivalent in chemistry or biochemistry
2 years of experience as lab technician working with analytical laboratory equipment is a plus
Proven interpersonal and team skills
Ability to work under time constraints, maintain alertness and concentration, work safely with potential electrical, chemical, radiologic, and biologic hazards using universal precautions
Languages: French and English both spoken and written. Dutch is a plus
Internet and Microsoft Windows skills (Word/Excel)
Experience in GMP/GLP is a plus
