This role will provide leadership for the company’s global IT Procurement category, owning the contracting and renewal process of IT agreements valued at more than $100M. Resource will collaborate cross-functionally with IT and business owners to critically challenge licensure needs, consolidate applications, and drive incremental cost reductions through sound procurement practices. Ensure all agreements are thoroughly negotiated and credibly benchmarked. Collaborate with legal, IT, and business stakeholders to ensure agreements meet company contracting guidelines and manage business risks. Lead IT Steerco Process governance, presenting final negotiated agreements to Executive Leadership Team approvers.
Responsibilities
Strategic IT Procurement Expertise: Proven experience leading IT procurement initiatives, with a strong focus on software and SaaS categories, including application rationalization and license optimization.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Demonstrated ability to partner with business stakeholders, IT, finance, and legal teams to identify redundant applications, streamline software portfolios, and drive business process changes that reduce license counts and total cost of ownership.
Renewal Management & Planning: Skilled in developing proactive renewal strategies, including early engagement with stakeholders, risk mitigation planning, and leveraging renewal timelines to maximize negotiation leverage.
Advanced Negotiation Skills: Track record of robustly challenging suppliers, negotiating complex software agreements, and securing favorable terms that reflect fair market value and align with business needs.
Contracting & Market Intelligence: Deep understanding of software licensing models, contract structures, and benchmarking practices to ensure commercial terms are competitive and compliant.
Consulting Background Preferred: Experience in a consulting environment is highly desirable, bringing a structured, analytical approach to problem-solving and stakeholder engagement.
Basic Qualifications
10-15 years of experience in a procurement or buying role
10+ years of experience supporting IT and technology categories
Experience supporting procurement categories on a global scale
Experience managing procurement activities for fleet or a closely related commodity
Bachelors Degree
Strong communications & presentation skills
Experience working in SAP or a similar ERP system, skills with MS Office, familiarity with eSourcing and Procure 2 Pay tools
