Responsibilities
Location(s) Bologna, Italy, Milan, Italy Status Regular Job ID JR-017190The Field Application Specialist for the Liquid Handling portfolio will support the Diagnostics sales organization in the achievement of defined revenue targets. The successful candidate will work with the Italian sales and marketing team to define and deliver pre- and post-sales strategies such as presentation materials, demonstrations and training.
The ideal candidate will be based in Central Italy to cover the whole Italian territory.
The Role
Together with the sales team, the candidate will improve sales execution and maximize prospect conversion rates.
Provide a high degree of technical support to the local teams and to our users; including instrument demonstrations, sample running, sales support and troubleshooting.
To generate a strong customer referral base is a key responsibility for this position
Develop targeted account strategies for our key accounts.
Work with R&D, the Business Unit, field sales, service team and customers to develop new application support data.
The Requirements
Degree in Molecular Biology and/or experience in working with NGS workflow
Previous experience in a sales role within the medical device or life science industry is beneficial.
Previous experience in the NGS workflow is an advantage.
We would welcome applications from laboratory scientists who have experience in the NGS workflow and looking to move into a commercial role.
Available to travel across all Italy - average of 3 days per week
Fluent Italian language skills and conversational English are required.
