Duties and Responsibilities include:

  • Collaborate with Bioinformatics, Reporting, Medical Writer, and Marketing on establishing research opportunities, analysis of data, and development of manuscripts for publications, webinars, presentations
  • Develop and maintain credible and scientific relationships with medical experts
  • Collaborate with the Marketing team on the planning, development, and execution of education programs to support the launch of products and brand messaging
  • Serve as a Medical Science Liaison (MSL) for educational sessions to external, as well as internal clients, such as Healthcare Providers, Payors, Global Distributors, etc.
  • Establish  a team of MSLs, providing ongoing education, training, and supervision of MSLs
  • Formalize global commercial employees’ on-boarding and continued training needs for new products and internal tools’ enhancements
  • Measure outcomes of training initiatives and generate strategies for continuous improvement
  • Provide coaching to supplement efforts of Customer Excellence and Sales leadership
  • Other duties and responsibilities as requested by supervisor, Director of Scientific and Commercial Operations, Global Labs

Basic Qualifications:   

  • Master’s degree in science or related field
  • 8+ years of experience in Scientific Affairs role or similar role

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of basic genetic concepts and terminology
  • Previous experience working in a healthcare setting or genomics laboratory setting strongly preferred
  • Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills
  • Strong planning and organizational skills to set priorities, develop and manage multiple projects and timelines simultaneously.
  • Effective interpersonal skills to influence cross-functional teams by gaining buy-in and promoting shared project ownership.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, with advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel
  • Experience working in a LIMS, CRM, and other online customer portals
  • Efficient with prioritizing and multi-tasking, including being productive while handling re-directions and interruptions based upon business needs
  • Travel based on customer and business need, approximately 40%
